Celebrating 15 years of service to the greater Milwaukee community, AABN’s mission is to improve maternal child health and champion breastfeeding equity by (1) advocating system/policy changes, (2) partnering with community allies and (3) implementing community-based, family-centered, culturally tailored health education and support services. The organization priority service area is prenatal education and postpartum support.

Responsibility of the Board Treasurer
- Has knowledge of all funds and securities
- Provides annual budget to the Board of Directors for approval
- Ensures development and Board review of financial policies and procedures
- Oversee the financial management of the organization, ensuring sound and sustainable fiscal practices
- Monitor the organization’s financial health by regularly reviewing financial statements and reports.
- Collaborate with the Executive Director and term financial strategies.
- Ensure compliance with all financial regulations, legal requirements, and internal policies.
- Ensure proper record-keeping and documentation for auditing purposes.
Board Term: 3 years
Time Commitment:
Evening Board Meetings 6PM – 8PM (2nd Thursday of the month)
5-10 additional hours per month fulfilling annual board goals
