We are seeking emerging leaders who are ready to make a difference in the community.
Bay View Community Center (BVCC) is a non-profit organization serving Milwaukee’s southside and beyond for over 40 years. The Center is seeking 3 new board members with diverse experiences, skills, and backgrounds to serve on its board of directors and help guide BVCC as it grows.
Our mission is to bring people together to build community as an inclusive, independent, community-supported, non-profit organization. The Guiding Principles that shape our decision making include Intentional and Reciprocal Relationships, Fresh Food Access and Food Security, Justice and Equity, and Environmental Stewardship and Sustainability.
The Role of Board Members

Responsibilities include:
- Attending board meetings (6 times per year)
- Establishing policies for financial management, resource development, and community relations
- Volunteering time and resources for events such as BVCC’s Beer Tasting & Auction Fundraiser
- Representing BVCC at events and in the community
