General Statement of Duties
The Street Keepers Crew (SKC) Lead oversees a team in our transitional jobs program. The SKC upkeeps the Havenwoods neighborhood through litter pick-up, landscaping, small maintenance, assisting seniors, and additional projects as needed. Crew Members also assist the Resident Engagement Manager with the planning and execution of community events.
The Crew Lead collaborates closely with the Resident Engagement Manager on the work schedule, daily activities and projects, and supporting the SKC’s (including their own) personal and professional development during the 3-6 months per participant.

Duties and Responsibilities
Essential Duties and Tasks
- Supervise a crew of 4-5 individuals through daily duties, including:
- Maintenance tasks such as removing litter, leaves, & debris
- Planting shrubs and flowers, trimming trees and shrubbery, and performing related landscape tasks in public right of way or public spaces
- Tasks involving painting work
- Minor office maintenance and cleaning duties
- Engaging residents through flyering, event organizing & promotion
- Provide transportation for the crew using the Street Keepers van
- Maintain inventory for on-going projects
- Maintain tracking sheet daily for accomplished activities
- Understand the Havenwoods neighborhood, including local businesses, artists, happenings, and ability to identify resident needs
- Support engagement initiatives identified by the Resident Engagement Manager
- Perform related duties as required

- Ability to lead a team and mediate conflict as needed.
- Ability to understand and follow instructions.
- Ability to be on time for work and meet deadlines.
- Ability to adapt to changes as the work requires.
- Ability to manage projects and workflow
Physical Requirements
- Must be able to physically perform the basic life operational functions of stooping, kneeling, crouching, crawling, reaching, standing, walking, pushing, pulling, and lifting 50lbs.
- Ability to tolerate outside elements such as heat, sun, and cooler temperatures.
Required Education and Experience:
- High school diploma, GED or equivalency
- Leadership Experience
- Valid Driver’s License
- Proof of Automobile Liability Insurance
