Reports to: Director of Programs
Schedule: Part Time, non exempt position with some evening and weekend meetings/events
Pay Rate: $19-$21/hour, 20 hours a week

Summary
The Muskego Way Forward part time Program Assistant joins the team of two Co-Coordinators responsible for leading diverse neighborhood residents and other partners in a collective process to strengthen the Muskego Way Neighborhood. The part time program assistant is responsible for managing the systems, functions, and reporting of the program as a support to the organizing work committed to enhancing the assets of the neighborhood in order to achieve stronger families, safer streets, more beautiful spaces, greater economic vitality, and ultimately a neighborhood that is united around a collective desire to move Muskego Way forward.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Data entry – receipt filing, budget tracking, attendance tracking, maintaining updated contact lists
- Purchasing – maintenance of office and programming supplies
- Grants – oversee MWF grant program with assistance from the community organizers, assist development department with external grants and minor applications for specific projects, identify potential funding opportunities, keep team informed of grant cycles identify new grant opportunities and keep team informed of grant cycles
- Monthly meetings – schedules presenters, prepare agendas and meeting packets, take minutes of monthly meetings, order meeting food
- Communications – assistance with flyers and newsletters as directed
- Conduct monthly diaper pickup from the Milwaukee Diaper Mission
- MWF events – assist with staff needs and logistics like room reservations, advance food ordering, preparation of supplies and materials like flyers as directed
Qualifications
- Bilingual (Spanish/English) language skills required.
- Knowledge of and experience in the Muskego Way Neighborhood and Milwaukee’s near south side is highly valued.
- Experience in organizing, human services, or related field.
- Ability to build strong relationships.
- Basic computer skill
- Able to collaborate with a diverse teams of neighbors, staff, partners, and volunteers.
