Join the Penfield Children’s Center Family: Be the Difference as a Home-Based Visitor!
Are you ready to change lives while working in a supportive, mission-driven environment that feels like family? At Penfield Children’s Center, we’re all about empowering children and families to thrive. Our Home-Based Visitor (HBV) role is perfect for passionate social workers or teachers looking to make a meaningful impact in the lives of children ages birth to five and their families.
Here’s why you’ll love being part of our team:
What You’ll Do
As an HBV, you’ll be the go-to guide for approximately 12 families, offering early childhood education and family support services through:
- Weekly Home Visits: Spend 90 minutes per week with each family (46 visits annually), implementing a curriculum that sparks joy, curiosity, and development in every child.
- Social Activities: Organize 22 fun and engaging group socialization activities each year, creating spaces where families connect and grow together.
- Collaborative Family Partnerships: Partner with families to identify strengths and goals, celebrating milestones and overcoming challenges together.
- Supportive Case Management: Help families navigate community resources, access vital services, and build networks that last a lifetime.
Why It Matters
Your work helps children achieve developmental milestones, empowers families as the primary educators of their children, and builds stronger, more connected communities. It’s not just a job—it’s a mission.
