About Wisconsin Civic Power Table
The Wisconsin Civic Power Table (WCPT) is a 501(C)(3) fiscally-sponsored organization and the Wisconsin affiliate of the State Voices network. WCPT convenes a community of 50+ partner organizations, providing support, accountability, and cohesive strategy to build collective and well-organized power. Specifically, WCPT provides capacity support, grants, data, tools, and coordination to help its partners create a healthy and thriving democracy through a racial equity lens. WCPT and its partners promote civic engagement, access, and representation through a variety of methods, including: voter education, registration, and mobilization; issue advocacy, base building, community organizing, communications, and litigation. Position Overview
The Wisconsin Civic Power Table is hiring a Voting Rights Program Manager to manage the Wisconsin Voting Rights Coalition (WVRC) and contribute capacity towards strategies that promote voting rights through a variety of programs and tactics. The ideal candidate will be strategic and excellent at managing a diverse coalition with confident leadership and have a passion for voting rights advocacy in Wisconsin. Requirements for this role include deep experience in Wisconsin’s voting rights ecosystem, strong executive function, and an ability to navigate complex coalition dynamics while moving work forward. This position will report to the Executive Director.
Principal Responsibilities for the Position:
Coalition Management
- Build and maintain strong relationships with coalition members and external partners
- Oversee coalition infrastructure, including shared tools, Google group/listserv, and accountability systems
- Manage coalition membership, including onboarding, engagement, and leadership in committees
- Foster collaboration and community among partners by supporting coalition-wide activities
- Plan and manage, with support, an annual strategic planning convening for the WVRC
- Lead the WVRC Steering Committee and ensure alignment across autonomous committees
- Monitor progress on coalition goals and ensure follow-through on shared commitments
- Expand participation in the coalition with emphasis on groups historically excluded from civic power, including Black and Brown, LGBTQ+, and working-class communities
Programmatic Leadership
- Support or lead the planning and execution of key voting rights projects, campaigns, or events
- Ensure the Table’s contributions to the voting rights coalition are well-structured, timely, and mission-aligned
- Represent WCPT in select Voting Rights spaces and efforts
- Help the coordinated strategy with insights from partner relationships and communications
- Organize and communicate regular updates, resources, and opportunities for the Table and its partners
Qualifications: The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications:
- Minimum 2 years experience and strong relationships working in the voting rights landscape in Wisconsin, ideally in building coalition and advocacy
- Ability to work with complex dynamics and varying communication styles in coalitions
- Strong executive function, confidence, goal orientation, and direct communication
- Strong written and verbal communication skills and an engaging, helpful personality
- Proficiency in Google Suite/Google Groups
- Demonstrated commitment to the liberatory politic necessary to achieve an inclusive and effective democracy
Compensation + Benefits: This is a full time position. The proposed salary range for this position is $70,000 – $80,000. The Wisconsin Civic Power Table provides a full benefits package that supports the employees’ well-being, financial security, and familial needs.
Location: Applicants must reside in Wisconsin and be able to work in person as needed. Some travel required.
