“Strengthen your nonprofit’s financial foundation. This workshop covers budgeting, internal controls, financial reporting, audits, and navigating tax and regulatory issues to help your organization operate effectively and transparently.
Build a Strong Financial Foundation
The Nonprofit Finance Fund’s State of the Sector Report indicates that more than 50% of nonprofits consider navigating financial regulations one of their major operational challenges. This workshop will focus on how to effectively manage a financial system within a nonprofit organization. Participants will examine key financial components that promote transparency, accountability, and long-term sustainability.
Key topics will include budgeting for nonprofit organizations, maintaining internal controls, and establishing accounting and financial policies and procedures. The session will also address how to prepare nonprofit financial statements, discuss recent accounting and tax issues affecting nonprofits, and explain the role of independent certified public accountants and the audit process.
