Program Director (Andis Foundation)

This role serves as the chief strategist and connector, leading the foundation’s efforts to strengthen families and empower youth through effective grantmaking, nonprofit collaboration, and public outreach. This role bridges operational leadership and execution, compliance expertise, and storytelling to amplify our impact and align all efforts with our core mission.
Key Responsibilities:
Grant & Nonprofit Relations
- Foster deep, values-based relationships with community-based nonprofits serving families and youth
- Review and vet grant proposals to ensure alignment with mission and legal requirements
- Understand how grantees maximize program impact and community engagement
- Track performance metrics and prepare reports on outcomes
- Assist in coordination of grant payments
Legal & Tax Compliance
- With the cooperation of legal, adherence to all federal and state regulations governing 501(c)(3) grant-making private foundations
- Maintain transparent and audit-ready documentation of grant and financial activity
- Coordinate with legal and financial advisors on tax filings and compliance updates
Governance & Board Leadership
- Lead quarterly and ad hoc board meetings, shaping agendas that reflect mission progress, and documenting decisions
- Deliver strategic briefings, grant updates, and financial reporting to the board
- Cultivate strong working relationships across advisory committee
Public Engagement & Social Media
- Share the foundation’s story and impact through engaging digital content
- Create and manage posts across multiple social media platforms
- Collaborate with grantees and partners to showcase community successes
- Support digital campaigns and initiatives that elevate the foundation’s visibility
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in nonprofit management, public administration, communications, or related field
- Minimum 5 years in foundation leadership, grantmaking, or nonprofit operations
- Strong grasp of 501(c)(3) regulations, philanthropic compliance, and nonprofit finance, structure(s), and best practices
- Compelling communicator with experience in public speaking and storytelling
- Skilled in using social media and grant tracking platforms
- Skilled in Microsoft applications, document cloud storage, and video meetings
