Job Title: Volunteer and Outreach Coordinator
Location: Waukesha, WI
Organization: Hope Center
Job Type: Part-Time (28 hours)
Reports To: General Manager
Compensation: $18/hr
Position Summary
We are seeking a passionate and organized Volunteer and Outreach Coordinator to join our team. This role is essential in building and maintaining strong relationships with volunteers, community partners, and supporters. You’ll also play a key role in planning and executing events that further our mission and engage the community.
Key Responsibilities
Volunteer Coordination
- Recruit, onboard, and train new volunteers
- Maintain volunteer database and scheduling
- Communicate regularly with volunteers to ensure engagement and retention
- Recognize and celebrate volunteer contributions
Community Outreach
- Build partnerships with local organizations, schools, and businesses
- Represent the organization at community events and meetings
- Develop outreach materials and campaigns to raise awareness
Event Support
- Assist in planning and executing fundraising, educational, and community events
- Coordinate volunteer involvement in events
- Manage logistics such as venue setup, supplies, and registration
- Support post-event follow-up and evaluation
Qualifications
- Passion for nonprofit work and community engagement
- Strong organizational and communication skills
- Experience working with volunteers or in outreach roles
- Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines
- Comfortable working occasional evenings or weekends for events
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Google Workspace, and volunteer management tools
