POSITION SUMMARY
The Case Manager provides individualized case management services to chronically unemployed individuals, supporting them in developing the skills, knowledge, and resources necessary to obtain and sustain employment. The position manages an active caseload of approximately 25–35 participants and delivers services aligned with RVM’s mission, values, and faith-based framework.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Adhere to all RVM policies, procedures, safety standards, and organizational guidelines, promoting a culture of safety and accountability.

Work collaboratively and professionally with RVM staff to advance the organization’s vision and mission.

Maintain strict confidentiality of all participant, organizational, and program-related information.

Provide one-on-one case management services to assigned participants, including:
-
Faith-based counseling
-
Job development and employment readiness support
-
Individual and group coaching
-

Develop and maintain relationships with employers, placement outlets, educational institutions, and community partners.

Conduct follow-up communication with employers, businesses, educational institutions, and community stakeholders regarding participant progress.

Facilitate and coordinate group job training and support programs, including:

One-on-One Job Counseling
-
Job Seekers Support Group
-
At-Risk Workers Support Group
-

Build and sustain effective working relationships with participants and, when appropriate, their families.

Prepare accurate, thorough, and timely case notes and documentation.
ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES

Ensure proper management, compliance, and reporting related to dedicated funding sources.

Coordinate program activities to support grant utilization and funding drawdown for case management services.

Represent RVM at public forums, employer meetings, fundraising events, and community outreach activities.

Assist in the development of new programs or initiatives as directed by the supervisor to further RVM’s mission.

Participate in ongoing professional development, including internal and external training opportunities.

Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS

Strong verbal, written, interpersonal, and telephone communication skills.

Effective public speaking and group facilitation abilities.

Demonstrated ability to build and maintain positive, professional relationships with diverse populations and community partners.

Ability to work effectively with individuals from varied backgrounds and with diverse personalities.

Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while maintaining accuracy and timeliness.

Sound judgment and problem-solving skills, including the ability to identify issues and escalate appropriately.

Proficiency in basic computer applications, including Microsoft Word, Excel, Access, and internet-based research tools.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

Bachelor’s degree in Social Work or a related field, or equivalent relevant experience.

Minimum of two (2) years of case management experience serving disadvantaged or underserved populations.

Prior experience with group facilitation preferred.
LICENSES AND REQUIREMENTS
-
Valid driver’s license required for work-related travel, including visits to employers, partner agencies, and community outreach activities.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
-
Ability to tolerate prolonged periods of sitting, with intermittent standing and walking.

Frequent use of hands and fingers to handle, feel, or operate standard office equipment.
-
Ability to lift and/or move objects weighing up to 20 pounds.
-
Clear vision at 20 inches or less for tasks such as reading, computer work, and documentation.
WORKING CONDITIONS
-
Work is primarily performed in a standard office environment and, on occasion, at participant work sites.

Noise levels are generally moderate and consistent with a typical office setting, including computers, printers, telephones, and routine conversations.
PROTECTIVE EQUIPMENT REQUIRED

Seat belt required when operating or riding in a motor vehicle while conducting RVM business.
HAZARDS

Minimal hazards typical of a normal office environment.

In the course of working with a diverse participant population, the position may occasionally encounter abusive, aggressive, or unpredictable behavior.
