Blossom IDD is a recognized 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization serving Ozaukee County and the Greater Milwaukee Area. Our mission is to support adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD) in leading independent, fulfilling lives within the community. Centrally located in Cedarburg, Blossom IDD empowers individuals by fostering connections, advocating for awareness, planning for comprehensive life needs, and offering accessible travel experiences.
The Opportunity
Blossom IDD is seeking a dynamic, mission-driven Executive Director to lead our next chapter of continued growth and impact. This is a hands-on leadership role ideal for someone who is both strategic and action-oriented, excited to build relationships, grow programs, and elevate our presence in the community. Joining this growing organization that presently is within strong financial standing, the Executive Director partners closely with the Board of Directors, leads a passionate team, and serves as the face of the organization; guiding strategy, strengthening sustainability, and ensuring exceptional experiences for the individuals and families we serve.
What You’ll Do
Lead & Strategize
- Partner with the Board to shape and implement Blossom’s vision and strategic direction
- Guide organizational growth while maintaining a strong, values-driven culture
Fundraising and Financial Management
- Develop and implement a comprehensive and time-efficient fundraising strategy that includes grants, sponsorships, donor stewardship, local fundraisers, and signature events.
- Work with the Board to prepare, monitor, and manage the annual budget, ensuring financial integrity and alignment with strategic priorities.
- Identify new revenue opportunities and oversee grant compliance and reporting.
Oversee Programs & Experiences
- Ensure high-quality, inclusive programming that meets the needs of participants and families
- Support and occasionally lead programs, including local events and travel experiences
Strengthen Our Presence
- Serve as the public face of Blossom IDD in the community
- Oversee marketing and communications, including website and social media
- Build and steward meaningful relationships with donors, community partners, and stakeholders
- Engage with our online community and track key engagement metrics
Lead People & Operations
- Mentor and support staff and volunteers in a collaborative, growth-oriented environment
- Oversee day-to-day operations, ensuring strong systems and accountability
Travel & Program Leadership (Select Opportunities)
- Lead pre-trip orientations and ensure smooth program logistics
- Support participants and staff during travel experiences
- Foster a safe, inclusive, and engaging environment
- Provide real-time problem-solving, coaching, and communication

Commitments from Blossom IDD
The annual salary range for this leadership position $68k+ commensurate with education and experience and offers the following:
