The Assistant Treasurer supports the Treasurer in managing the financial operations of the Friends of Wehr Nature Center, Inc. The Assistant Treasurer is a voting member of the Board and is responsible for supporting the Treasurer in managing the financial operations of the Friends of Wehr Nature Center, Inc.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with monthly, quarterly and annual financial reporting.
- Maintain accurate financial records.
- Serve as an authorized signer with online account access.
- Attend monthly Executive Board and Board of Directors meetings.
- Support audit preparation, budget cycles, and compliance needs.
- Collaborate with the Treasurer, Business Manager, and Organization Director.
- Attend all Board meetings and Executive Committee meetings.
Qualifications
- Experience with finance, accounting, or nonprofit operations helpful.
- QuickBooks experience preferred but not required (training provided).
- Strong attention to detail and willingness to learn.
- Ability to work independently and communicate effectively.
- Commitment to the mission of FOW.
Time Commitment
- Flexible, remote-friendly role.
- Additional time needed during reporting or budget periods.
