Founded in 2006, SecureFutures is a dynamic and growing organization with a mission to provide financial literacy programs and resources to empower students to make sound financial decisions. SecureFutures currently partners with more than 250 high schools and community-based organizations across the state and beyond. We are outcome-focused and committed to continuous quality improvement.

Money Coach is a semester-long program, run twice per year and powered by community volunteers and delivered in partnership with local high schools and community organizations. Volunteers work in groups of three to four to provide experiential financial education and mentoring to high school juniors and seniors.

The Program Coordinator is responsible for coordinating all aspects of the program, including partner outreach, volunteer training and management, partnership development, curriculum development, program outcome measurement, and data tracking and entry. Coordinators will also support partners in recruiting participants through information sessions and printed materials. This position works closely with the additional Money Coach team members, the Volunteer Coordinator, the Volunteer Recruitment Specialist, and the Program and Data Success Manager.

Responsibilities

  1. Program Coordination & Evaluation
  • Contribute to the development, maintenance, and enhancement of program structure, resources, and materials.
  • Collaborate with site partners to plan and coordinate Money Coach sessions.
  • Communicate program details and logistics with all stakeholders.
  • Utilize Salesforce to monitor programs as they move through stages of planning and execution, completing action steps as required.
  • Assume responsibility for volunteer duties if a volunteer can not attend a session.
  • Solicit feedback from stakeholders and respond to any issues or challenges.
  • Problem-solve issues between site partners and volunteers, in partnership with the Director of Volunteer Programs, Sr. Money Coach Manager, and Volunteer Coordinator.
  • Contribute to the analysis of outcome and evaluation data and stakeholder feedback, and provide input regarding action steps.
  • Participate in curriculum review, maintenance, and enhancement, focused on improving program quality, impact, and effectiveness.
  • Contribute to the standardization and documentation of program tasks, procedures, and workflows.
  • Support efforts to strengthen partnerships and raise awareness of the Money Coach program across partner schools and among school leadership.
  • Support educator appreciation efforts.
  1. Student & Alumni Engagement
  • Assist site partners in developing action plans to recruit students and provide direct recruitment support, as needed.
  • Build a strong rapport with students and provide additional support while they are in the program.
  • Execute a communication strategy to remind students of due dates, session dates, and other logistical details.
  • Observe students and their progress through the program and identify and collect student impact stories.
  • Support the growth of the Money Coach Alumni Network (MCAN).
  • Contribute to the execution of a data collection strategy for the Alumni Longitudinal Study.
  1. Volunteer Recruitment, Training, Coordination & Support
  • Collaborate with the Director of Volunteer Programs, Sr. Money Coach Program Manager, and the Volunteer team on all relevant volunteer-related initiatives.
  • Support volunteer recruitment, appreciation, and retention strategies.
  • Contribute to the development and execution of strategies that support volunteers in developing skills to work cross-culturally and cross-generationally, and create an inclusive and engaging educational experience for students.
  • Contribute to the development and delivery of training to ensure volunteers are prepared to deliver impactful programming.
  • Execute a communication strategy to remind volunteers of upcoming session objectives, dates, and other logistical details.
  • Provide support to volunteers before, during, and after programming.
  • Support volunteer appreciation efforts.
  1. Data Collection, Management, and Reporting
  • Enter and maintain program data in Salesforce according to data entry standards, data management procedures, and workflows.
  • Ensure educator, volunteer, and student contact records are updated in Salesforce in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Monitor and encourage completion of student registration forms and outcome surveys.
  • Monitor and encourage completion of educator and volunteer evaluations.
  • Assist with periodic reporting of program activity and impact data.
  1. Other
  • Participate in Education Committee and Program/Volunteer Subcommittee meetings.
  • Assist with planning and execution of special initiatives and events.
  • Participate in fundraising activities, as assigned.
  • Other duties, as assigned.

Education and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field or equivalent work experience
  • Minimum of 2 years of work experience that is related to the role

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Demonstrated success working with and building meaningful relationships with teens and young adults.
  • Customer service or relationship management experience.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills, including internal and external meeting facilitation
  • Ability to develop and deliver effective presentations.
  • Detail-oriented, well-organized, and process-minded, especially with data, document tracking, and project management.
  • Computer-literate, experienced user of Microsoft applications and Google Drive. Experience with databases or CRMs, especially Salesforce.
  • Reliable, self-motivated, and able to work independently without constant oversight and direction.
  • Able to work effectively with diverse groups.
  • Ability to work some evenings and weekends, as needed for networking and special events.
  • Access to a reliable car on a daily basis for travel in the Milwaukee area

Location: Milwaukee, WI (partially remote)

Position Type: Full-time, permanent

Report to:  Senior Money Coach Program Manager

Salary: $40,000 – $45,000
