Falls Area Food Pantry is seeking a candidate to serve as Program Coordinator. This part-time position will assist the Executive Director manage teams of volunteers who carry out day-to-day operational responsibilities for the delivery of services provided by the Pantry. Responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to: volunteer management, operational and development support. The focus of this position is to provide operational assistance for the Executive Director.
A successful candidate will be helpful, compassionate, high-energy, positive, enthusiastic and respectful in their work with our volunteers and clients. This is a part-time paid position with an hourly rate ranging between $30 to $35 per hour. No benefits.
- Coordinate Volunteer Program Help Process and Screen Volunteer Applications – Initiate Background Checks – Post volunteer openings using an online scheduling software –Assist in managing volunteer group projects
- Support Food Drive Volunteer Team Support food drive pick-ups and deliveries to ensure that food drives are documented and – Acknowledged in a timely manner
- Program Coordination Assist coordinating Washington County food delivery program – Assist with the development fand implementation of a Waukesha County Food Delivery Program
- Provide support for Events/Projects Assist with the coordination of Volunteer Appreciation events – Provide onsite preparation and support for volunteer project groups – Ensure appropriate set up and wrap up for public events ensuring that all- needed supplies are prepared and properly returned and stored. Including but not limited to: Monthly Hot Dog Sales, Parades, Festivals, cultivation events, etc.
- Support Client Services Keep client resources updated and in full supply – Provide shift supervision if the Executive Director is unavailable – In partnership with staff, shift leads and volunteers, provide a respectful experience for clients
- Finance and Operations Support compliance practices for the organization and client informatio
- Strategic Management and Leadership Assist the Executive Director implement strategic direction – Provide reports and accompanying summaries
- Other duties as assigned
Requirements
- Strong ability to develop and maintain relationships
- Ability to communicate and work well with persons of varied racial, ethnic, cultural and socioeconomic backgrounds and with individuals who are differently-abled
- Strong attention to details, ability to set priorities and effective time management skills
- Experience with Sign Up Genius or other online sign up software
- Ability to work with sensitive information and maintain a high degree of confidentiality
- Must pass a background check
- Valid Drivers License
Preferred candidates will have prior food pantry experience and a minimum of three years of supervisory experience.
