Do you have experience on a nonprofit board? Are you passionate about food security, food justice, community gardening, public health-based community organizing, school gardening, or ecological justice? Food Freedom Milwaukee is a young nonprofit with a small board of officers looking to build and expand our committees and broaden our pool of committed internal leaders! We are seeking any and all kinds of skills and talents, but are also looking for people with budget/accounting skills, gardening/food preservation skills, social media marketing skills, administrative skills, and native plant nursery management/design/installation skills. Our mission is to build food justice with neighborhoods by supporting their residents in creating successful community gardens that produce nutrition, more resilient communities, and provide beautiful, health-producing spaces largely in and around the Harambee neighborhood and others facing food insecurity. We look forward to connecting with you to find the best way we can join forces to work on our overlapping missions!
