Make a Difference. Inspire Scholars. Shape the Future.
Are you a passionate educator who believes every scholar deserves the opportunity to succeed? Do you enjoy creating engaging, rigorous learning experiences while building meaningful relationships with students and families?
Milwaukee Academy of Science (MAS) is looking for a dedicated Teacher to join our team and help prepare scholars for success beyond high school. Founded in 2000, the Milwaukee Academy of Science is a K4-12th grade independent charter school serving nearly one thousand scholars in downtown Milwaukee. The mission of MAS is to graduate students prepared to compete successfully at the post-secondary level. African American students comprise 99% of the student body and over 95% of students qualify for free or reduced meals. Regardless of student background and external factors, MAS maintains the expectation that students should be on grade level and proficient on state assessments. Teachers are expected to plan and prepare rigorous lessons as well as communicate and collaborate with staff and parents.
