The Association of Fundraising Professionals Greater Madison Chapter is offering “Building Your Organization’s Legacy Giving Program”:

“This event offers an exploration of legacy giving and its vital role in nonprofit sustainability. Attendees will gain valuable insights into what legacy giving entails, its significance in U.S. philanthropy, and current trends and demographics shaping legacy donors.

The program will support participants in the components of building a successful legacy program, covering essential topics such as gift acceptance policies, marketing strategies, donor documentation, and the integration of legacy giving with campaigns and endowments.

Stewardship strategies will also be highlighted, emphasizing the importance of recognizing and engaging legacy donors through tools like Legacy Societies, tailored communications, and special events.

The session will conclude with an overview of MCF services, showcasing their expertise in handling complex legacy gifts, charitable gift annuities (CGAs), and endowments, empowering organizations to navigate the intricacies of legacy giving confidently.
