The Nonprofit Leadership Initiative is offering a “Leadership Roundtable: Taking the Suck out of Succession Planning – Marketing & Communications”:

“Join Nonprofit Leadership Initiative (NPLI) and Amy MacKenzie, Director of Marketing & Communications for Community Foundation for the Fox Valley Region, in an interactive leadership roundtable session geared towards providing nonprofit leaders and staff with strategies to effectively communicate succession planning to stakeholders and integrate marketing principles into the process.

TOPICS:

  • The importance of marketing and communications in succession planning
  • Understanding your audiences, crafting clear messaging and identifying appropriate channels of communication
  • Identifying stakeholders, developing timelines and documents you should have prepared to communicate changes
  • Exercises in drafting a leadership change announcement and a high-level communication plan for your organization’s succession plan

WHO SHOULD ATTEND: 

Nonprofit leaders and board members serving a nonprofit located within NPLI’s service area.

This is a space for nonprofit leaders and board members to learn. Attendance is capped at 30 people to provide time and space for authentic, peer-to-peer sharing.

FACILITATOR:

Amy MacKenzie – Director of Marketing and Communications, Community Foundation for the Fox Valley Region

Amy MacKenzie attended UW-Oshkosh and holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Journalism with an emphasis in advertising and public relations. She has more than 25 years of experience working in marketing and operations leadership roles for corporations, family-owned, faith-based, and nonprofit organizations throughout Northeast Wisconsin. Amy has a passion for working in the nonprofit sector with much of her career experience being in long-term healthcare.”
