The UW-Milwaukee School of Continuing Education is offering “Nonprofit Boards and Governance”:
“Explore reasons why boards exist, and examine the roles, responsibilities and relationship to staff. Gain tools for enhancing board effectiveness including recruitment and development, meeting management and self-assessment.
This workshop identifies the uniqueness of the nonprofit sector, which requires specific skills for working with and growing the individual potential of an agency’s board members.

- Gain a deeper understanding of board roles including collective and individual board responsibilities and legal standards that apply to boards.
