“Philanthropy (and the world) has experienced a roller coaster of highs and lows over the past year and a half. The COVID-19 pandemic, civic upheaval, a presidential election, and other uncertainties pushed nonprofit leaders and fundraisers to shift, make hard decisions, and adapt to a “new normal.” But out of those trials came unprecedented innovation. While there is no crystal ball for fundraising, trends are pointing up and to the right for most — but not all — nonprofit sectors.
