Job Summary

Monitors the compliance of family child care homes participating in the USDA DPI funded food program (CACFP) with on-site review visits. Provides program standards and nutrition training as well as technical assistance for compliance. This is not a remote or virtual position.

Specific Duties

  1. Consistently adheres to all program regulations, directives, and guidelines during all initial and follow-up visits addressing issues of non-compliance and conducting additional visits, technical assistance, training, or directing corrective actions to include, on-hold, probation, or declaring a provider seriously deficient.
  2. Monitors each home assigned three times per fiscal year, on-site.
  3. Provides technical assistance and training to include nutrition education to assigned providers.
  4. Submits all agency required documentation (mileage, timesheets, review forms, etc.) completed accurately and on time.
  5. Enrolls new providers into the CACFP either individually or by group
  6. Collects and submits all enrollment process required forms on time
  7. Ensures all enrollment documentation is complete and accurate
  8. Keeps the CACFP Manager updated on home visit status.
  9. Assists in monthly claim submittals and edit checks claims.
  10. Contact assigned providers as requested or if they need additional information.
  11. Participates in a professional development plan as directed by the CACFP Manager
  12. Executes strategies for attracting and recruiting providers to the agency’s CACFP
  13. Answer phone calls; respond to emails.
  14. Assists Food Program staff and managers as needed.

Education and Experience

  • Must be proficient in using software such as WORD, EXCEL, and OUTLOOK.
  • Must demonstrate high level of customer commitment.
  • Must be able to multitask and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Knowledge of the Child and Adult Care Food Program (CACFP) is helpful, but not required.
