Job Summary: The Talent Acquisition & Scheduling Assistant promotes the Balance mission by recruiting a high performing Direct Support Professional (DSP) team and managing team coverage scheduling. This role develops sourcing opportunities, monitors incoming applications, screens candidates, and coordinates the interview, pre-boarding, and onboarding process of new DSPs. This role also assigns new DSPs to schedules/locations and manages schedule coverage for planned and unplanned DSP absences.
Key Responsibilities:
Talent Acquisition
- Responsible for the recruiting process of DSP positions
- Collaborate with leadership to identify staffing needs
- Post open positions
- Screen incoming applications
- Conduct phone screens and initial interviews
- Coordinate interview, tour, and job preview with screened candidates
- Send post screening correspondence to candidates
- Communicate the pre-onboarding process and collect related documentation
- Develop or identify candidate sourcing opportunities serving as a Balance ambassador to generate candidates with the aptitude and attitude to carry out the Balance mission
- Assists the Director of People & Culture with projects that support DSP team development
Scheduling
- Assigns new DSPs to locations and schedules
- Receives requests from leadership to schedule coverage for approved DSP paid time off plans, coordinates coverage scheduling for optimal results, and communicates coverage plan with leadership
- Receives unplanned absence or tardiness communications from DSPs during assigned times, coordinates coverage scheduling for optimal results, and communicates the absence/tardiness and coverage plan with leadership
Education:
High School degree or equivalency
Certifications and/or Licenses:
Valid driver’s license
Requirements:
- Auto insurance
- Start and end time flexibility
Relevant Experience & Training:
- Minimum of 1 year of experience related to recruiting or conducting employment interviews
- Demonstrated experience developing creative solutions for team development
- Experience as representative at job fairs or similar settings is a plus
- Event coordination experience is a plus
- Experience navigating talent acquisition software or Human Resources Information Systems is a plus
- Ability to self-direct and multi-task
- Must have strong interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills
- Must have basic computer skills (MS Office suite including virtual meetings)
Working Conditions:
- Work is performed in a professional, creative, open office environment with business casual attire
- Position is eligible for some remote working based on supervisor deaccession and business needs
- Hours of work will generally be during regular business hours
- Travel-some travel between sites and or community locations for candidate sourcing
Physical and Other Requirements:
- Work requires sitting, standing, walking, crouching and driving
- Must frequently lift and/or move 10 to 25 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds
- Complete a background disclosure form and meet all requirements to pass caregiver background checks
- Pass initial and periodic drug screenings and maintain a drug-free lifestyle
