Pay: $17.00/hour

Summary
This is a part time position, primarily Monday – Friday from 9:00 AM – 1:00 PM.
This position is responsible for assisting in kitchen with food prep, distribution, and cleaning.
Main Job Responsibilities
Goal: Ensure compliance with the Child and Adult Care Food Program (CACFP) and Summer Food Service Program (SFSP) and any other applicable standards.
- Correct portions, clean and sanitized meal service area and utensils, safe food handling procedures, and measured distribution of food.
- Assist in the daily operations of the meal service to include but not limited to; food preparation, distributing meals to classrooms, doing dishes, cleanup of all areas of kitchen.
- Use all instruments and machines in a safe and correct manner.
Other
Goal: Model appropriate behavior at all times. This includes developing and maintaining appropriate professional relationships and boundaries with coworkers, children, and caregivers.
Attend meetings and training, as required.
Qualifications
Education/Knowledge/Experience
- High school diploma or equivalent
- CPR / First Aid certification
- Experience or desire to interact with youth from underserved areas
- Preferred: Experience in cooking

Physical Requirements / Working Conditions
The physical requirements are the ability to:
- Sit, stand, kneel, crouch, and walk for long periods of time.
- Lift and carry at least 25 pounds.
- Handle exposure to heat and chemicals.
- Respond appropriately to situations requiring first aid and assist in case of an emergency (fire, evacuation, illness, or injury).
