Destination Door County (DDC), the official tourism organization for Door County, Wisconsin, seeks a collaborative and visionary Chief Executive Officer (CEO) to lead the organization into its next chapter.

Door County is a scenic peninsula in northeastern Wisconsin, known for its natural beauty, strong tourism economy, and vibrant community. Home to approximately 30,000 residents and welcoming more than 2.5 million visitors annually, the region offers a unique blend of outdoor recreation, cultural experiences, and agricultural heritage. Destination Door County plays a central role in promoting the peninsula as a year-round destination while supporting sustainable economic development.

DDC is at an important moment in its evolution, offering an exciting opportunity for a new CEO to help shape its future. As tourism continues to grow, the organization is focused on balancing economic vitality with community well-being, environmental stewardship, and long-term destination management.

The CEO will serve as the chief strategist of Destination Door County, reporting directly to the Board of Directors. This individual will lead the organization’s mission and strategic priorities while overseeing marketing, operations, financial management, stakeholder engagement, and community investment. Key priorities include strengthening partnerships, enhancing resident engagement, and ensuring the effective use of public tourism funding.

The Board seeks an experienced leader who will collaborate with staff, local businesses, municipalities, and community partners to advance the organization’s ambitious goals. This individual will bring experience leading complex organizations and navigating diverse stakeholder environments.
