CLIENT ASSOCIATION: Society of Pediatric Psychology (SPP)

POSITION REPORTS TO: Executive Director, SPP

EXEMPT/NON-EXEMPT EMPLOYEE STATUS: Exempt (Minimum of 37.5 hours/week)

GENERAL SUMMARY:  This position works closely with the SPP Executive Director to ensure successful membership engagement and scientific/educational planning for and implementation of the Society’s Annual Meeting program, online education, and continuing education. Moreover, the position implements activities that further SPP objectives.

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES (Minimum of 37.5 hours/week)

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Membership
  • Lead membership recruitment and retention strategies and implementation.
  • Develop communications and activities to foster continued growth of the membership base.
  • Manage membership database, including APA membership reconciliation.
  • Track and manage metrics for membership.
  • Programs
  • Lead staff person managing Annual Conference programming.
  • Develop Annual Conference mobile app and program book (electronic and print).
  • Lead staff person managing all aspects of Fall Virtual Conference.
  • Lead staff person managing all aspects of the Leadership Conference.
  • Work with SPP leadership to develop and implement online education offerings.
  • Lead staff for speaker communications and arrangements.
  • Track and manage all timelines, schedules and metrics for all programs.
  • Continuing Education
  • Coordinate continuing education credit process for all programs.
  • Other
  • Liaison to SPP committees as needed.
  • Other duties as assigned.


  • Qualifications – Outstanding organizational, interpersonal and communications skills. Computer proficiency and ability to manage and prioritize multiple projects and timelines essential. Professional demeanor and acute attention to detail with high accuracy on outputs. Able to work successfully in a team environment.
  • Education – Bachelor’s Degree preferred
  • Experience – Experience in content strategy, program or project management and/or online education preferred. Previous association management experience and familiarity with nonprofit boards of directors a plus.


  • Travel of up to 4 weeks per year
  • Some evening and weekend work, as needed
  • Occasional lifting, up to 50 pounds

*This position is located in downtown Milwaukee, WI and a minimum of two days onsite in the office (including Wednesday as an all-staff-in-office day) are a requirement of the role.
