The Mission
At Elmbrook New Berlin Senior Taxi, we provide essential transportation for seniors and disabled adults who are still on the move! Our service helps independent neighbors get to medical appointments, grocery stores, jobs, and errands. We are looking for reliable, friendly drivers who want to support their community by providing a safe ride and a helping hand with the “extras.”
What You’ll Be Doing
- Independent Transport: Providing door-to-door transportation for ambulatory passengers (riders who can walk and enter/exit the vehicle on their own).
- Equipment Handling: Stowing and retrieving mobility aids such as walkers and canes in the trunk or backseat.
- Grocery Assistance: Helping passengers by carrying grocery bags or packages from the vehicle to their front door.
- Observational Safety: Ensuring the passenger has safely entered their destination before departing.
Important Safety Boundaries
To ensure the safety of both our drivers and our riders, this position follows strict guidelines:
- Ambulatory Riders Only: We do not transport passengers in wheelchairs.
- No Physical Transfers: Drivers are not permitted to physically lift, carry, or provide weight-bearing assistance to passengers entering or exiting the vehicle. Riders must be able to navigate the vehicle steps independently.

- Reliable: You understand that our riders schedule their lives around these appointments.
- Safety-Conscious: You follow all traffic laws and respect the physical boundaries set for passenger safety.
Requirements
- A valid driver’s license and a spotless driving record.
- Ability to pass a comprehensive background check and drug test.
- Ability to lift and stow walkers and multiple grocery bags.
- A patient, respectful attitude toward seniors and adults with disabilities.
