Communications and Brand Coordinator
SUMMARY: The Communications and Brand Coordinator leads strategic, integrated communications and marketing efforts that elevate the organization’s mission, strengthen stakeholder relationships, drive audience growth, and support fundraising and advocacy priorities. This role develops and implements innovative, data-driven campaigns across digital platforms, media outreach, events, and partnerships, with an emphasis on community engagement, equity, and impact. The person in this position reports to the Public Policy Director.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Lead development and execution of an annual communications and marketing strategy aligned with organizational goals.
- Serve as brand steward ensuring consistent messaging and visual identity.
- Oversee digital platforms including website, email CRM, and social media channels.
- Build and maintain relationships with local and regional media outlets.
- Plan and implement marketing for events, campaigns, and fundraising initiatives.
- Work with communications/marketing staff and external consultants.
- Use analytics and audience insights to measure effectiveness and guide strategy.
- Manage communications and marketing budget and vendor relationships.
Leadership Role: Alongside the Public Policy Director, the Communications Coordinator leads organizational communications initiatives and works with our Grants and Development Coordinator on messaging with donors and funders. Additional leadership opportunities are available via internal short-term workgroups and long-term committees, including those that particularly overlap with End Abuse’s marketing and anti-oppression efforts. Professional development opportunities supported by the Coalition contribute to furthering leadership development.
AGENCY RESPONSIBILITIES:
It is the responsibility of every End Abuse employee to uphold the mission and vision of this agency. We work to foster change in our economic, social and political systems and bring leadership expertise and best practices to Wisconsin domestic abuse programs and communities engaged in ending domestic violence.
It is also an expectation that on the individual level all staff members will work to further their personal capacity to foster an environment of cultural inclusivity and sensitivity that is the foundation for all our work.
This is a permanent, full-time Madison-based position, at 35 hours per week. The salary range for this position is $55,000 to $65,000 annually, commensurate with experience. Benefits include health insurance, dental insurance, vision, life insurance, short-term and long-term disability coverage, an employee assistance program, a sabbatical program, a 401K plan, and generous paid vacation, holidays, and sick leave. A background check will be conducted for this position prior to employment.

The Communication Coordinator must respond to changing needs and priorities; sort through the clutter and identify the best route and be driven by the sense of accomplishment that comes from completing a wide variety of tasks in an efficient and effective manner.

Qualifications and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in communications, Marketing, Public Relations, Journalism, or related field, preferred.
- 3+ years of progressively responsible experience in communications and marketing required.
- Demonstrated success leading integrated marketing campaigns.
- Strong writing, editing, and storytelling skills.
- Experience managing digital platforms and analytics tools.
- Experience building relationships with various stakeholders, vendors, internal employees, and media outlets.
- Familiarity with WI media landscape and community networks preferred.
- Nonprofit or mission-driven organization experience preferred.
- Valid driver’s license, insurance and access to a safe, reliable, private vehicle.
