Salary: $20 – $22 (Salary is commensurate with experience.)

Flexible work schedule: 40 hours a week, with occasional nights, or weekends and flexibility to work some hours remotely after 6 months of service.

About Eras Senior Network: Eras Senior Network is a nonprofit organization dedicated to advancing healthy aging for Milwaukee and Waukesha County older adults. Through volunteerism, intergenerational programs, and community partnerships, we work to foster independence and social connectedness.

Position Summary:

The Program Coordinator II’s responsibilities support client concerns and addresses client related matters requiring a high level of problem-solving skills in addition to assisting with answering the phones and taking requests. The Program Coordinator II onboards new clients and assists with reassessments. The Program Coordinator II will also regularly represent Eras in the community in addition to conducting in-home assessments for clients who may require additional assistance. The Program Coordinator II is skilled in deescalating techniques.

Responsibilities and Core Functions:

Area 1 – Supporting older adults

  • Answering phone calls
  • Entering client requests
  • Do eligibility screenings for potential new clients
  • Give information and referrals for people calling in
  • Do In-home assessments including difficult cases
  • Complete phone assessments and reassessments including difficult cases
  • Attend community events to support client outreach
  • Follow up on Friendly Phone Call concerns
  • Follow up on Friendly Visiting concerns and work closely with the volunteer department to ensure a good fit between the client and volunteer
  • Complete APS referrals as needed

Area 2 – Administrative

  • Assist with mailings
  • Take on occasional database projects as directed
  • Complete database related tasks efficiently and within a reasonable timeframe
  • Routinely use database and other online tools or software
  • Assist in mail receiving process or check depositing

Area 3 – Supporting volunteers

  • Supervise and assist volunteers supporting programming as needed including supervision of interns
  • Train and supervise In-home assessment volunteers

Area 4 – Community Outreach

  • Attend meetings and partnership coalitions representing Eras several times per month

Area 5 – Other duties as assigned

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Associate or bachelor’s degree in social work, psychology, human services or other closely related field preferred or equivalent professional experience, and at least 3 years of experience working with older adults or adults with disabilities in a professional setting.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Microsoft 365, Excel, Outlook
  • Commitment to Eras Senior Network’s core values.
