About Us:
As a private nonprofit, Friends of the Domes has been supporting the Mitchell Park Horticultural Conservatory (The Domes) since 1989. We provide educational and enrichment activities that ensure every visitor departs feeling a connection to nature.

Duties and Responsibilities:
The Office and Volunteer Coordinator will assist with operations, ensuring that administrative tasks are done in a timely and efficient manner. Major activities include:
- Supporting the Operations Director with board meeting preparation and management;
- Staffing board meetings (taking and distributing minutes);
- Project management, including creating and updating master calendar and office organization and cleanliness;
- Ordering office and event supplies;
- Providing in-office tech support;
- Managing customer-facing email inbox;
- Tracking and reporting progress toward accomplishing Key Performance Indicators;
- Developing strategies to recruit and retain volunteers and engage service learning students;
- Scheduling volunteers for programming, special events, and county Parks activities, and send out weekly emails;
- Facilitating volunteer orientations and annual appreciation events;
- Embracing the Friends of the Domes’ culture of exceptional customer service;
- Contributing to team effort by helping in other areas as needed.

Knowledge and Qualifications:
- Knowledge of nonprofit sector;
- Fluency in Microsoft Office, including doing mail merges;
- Familiarity with Google Workspace
- Minimum of associate’s degree;
- Prior project management and/or office management experience a plus.
Compensation:
$18/hour (no benefits); flexible work hours; majority of hours will be on-site
