Organization Summary

Girls on the Run Southeastern Wisconsin (GOTRSEWI), serves girls ages 8-13 throughout Milwaukee, Waukesha, Ozaukee, Washington, Racine, Kenosha, and Walworth counties. We are dedicated to expanding our reach across Southeastern Wisconsin so that more girls can experience the power of our transformative programs.

GOTRSEWI is a physical activity-based, positive youth development program designed to strengthen the social, emotional, and physical well-being of girls in  3rd-8th grade. Meeting twice a week, trained volunteer coaches lead small teams through our intentional curriculum that integrates fun running activities with important life lessons. Girls build critical skills such as managing emotions, making intentional decisions, resolving conflict, and supporting others. These lessons help them thrive at home, in school, and in their communities.  Physical activity is woven into each lesson to promote healthy habits and foster a lifelong appreciation for fitness.

Each season concludes with a celebratory, non-competitive 5K event that gives every girl a tangible sense of accomplishment and a framework for setting and achieving personal goals. Through this experience, girls gain confidence, recognize their inner strength, and learn to live with purpose and compassion. The Marketing Engagement Coordinator plays a key role in advancing our mission and must have a passion for empowering girls and a commitment to making a lasting impact.
