Hoan Marketing launched in 2016 with a simple idea: Nonprofits can have just as impactful marketing as big businesses. We bring this idea to life by combining experience in mission-driven organizations with a passion for web design, digital marketing, brand design, and strategy consulting.

We are seeking a Digital Marketing Manager to expand Hoan Marketing’s reach and impact. In this role, you won’t just create content; you will become a strategic partner to our nonprofit collaborators. You will embrace their unique voices, champion their goals, and drive measurable performance through high-quality digital execution and innovative storytelling.

Position Overview

  • Reports to: Ben Becker, Founder & Director
  • Location: Fully Remote (Wisconsin-based preferred, but not required)
  • Time Commitment: 32 hours per week (full-time)
  • Compensation: $55,000–$60,000 base annual salary
  • Commission: 20% commission (in perpetuity) on new business brought to the firm

Primary Responsibilities

  • Content Creation: Brainstorm, design, and write engaging content for a variety of platforms
  • Social Media Management: Post content and moderate channels to meet monthly benchmarks
  • Email Marketing Management: Create effective email outreach campaigns for mass distribution
  • Copywriting: Plan and write long-form content for use in blog posts, emails, and elsewhere
  • Website Updates: Update content on WordPress websites as needed
  • Research: Stay up-to-date on industry, competitor, and internal trends to identify new opportunities
  • General Support: As needed, assist with other marketing tasks for Hoan Marketing and clients

Qualifications

  • Related Experience: At least 2-3 years experience in at least some of the following: graphic design, copywriting, social media, email marketing, and digital advertising
  • Proficiency in Marketing Tools: Including Canva, Meta, LinkedIn, Google Ads, and more
  • Project Management: Able to prioritize and balance multiple projects and deadlines at one time
  • Proactive Communication: Consistent and timely updates via meetings, calls, email, and online chat
  • Commitment to Excellence: Detail-oriented, innovative, and results-driven
  • Collaborative Spirit: Maintains a positive attitude, and an openness to feedback and growth
  • Mission-Oriented: Passionate about social justice organizations and digital story-telling
