About the Role

As the Project Move Coordinator, you’ll make a direct and lasting impact on the lives of individuals and families in need. By coordinating furniture donations and deliveries, you help transform empty spaces into homes filled with comfort and dignity. This role bridges the gap between generous donors and clients receiving essential services, ensuring that every interaction reflects Hope Center’s mission of compassion and community support.

You will report to the General Manager and work closely with volunteers, donors, and clients to keep Project Move running smoothly.

Key Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for donors and clients, ensuring clear communication and a positive experience
  • Coordinate furniture donations, schedule pickups and deliveries, and assist volunteer crews for Project Move
  • Safely lift and move heavy furniture (up to 50 lbs) multiple times per week
  • Maintain basic maintenance on box trucks
  • Enter and maintain accurate data for Project Move
  • Create and edit documents (invoices, letters, logs, inventory, forms, handbooks)
  • Provide assistance and information to guests and visitors
  • Support other Hope Center programs as needed (Meal Program, Day Center, Clothing Shop, Reception)

Qualifications

  • Education & Experience: High school diploma or equivalent; demonstrated supervisory experience in a human services or non-profit setting
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, Teams), effectively respond to high volume of phone calls and emails
  • Other Requirements:
    • Valid Wisconsin driver’s license
    • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs safely
    • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and make sound decisions
    • Strong communication skills; bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred but not required
    • Must pass a State of Wisconsin criminal background check
