Position Title: Project Move Coordinator

FLSA Status: Non-exempt/hourly-Part-Time- 30 hr. per week

JOB PURPOSE AND REPORTING STRUCTURE:  Under the direction of General Manager the Project Move Coordinator provides the best possible support to the organization by Coordinating deliveries and pickups for Project Move at Hope Center as well as helping the office run efficiently and assisting with general office duties.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following.

Other duties may be assigned.

  • Enter data for Project Move.
  • Coordinate donations, schedule picks, deliveries, and assist with volunteer crews for Project Move.
  • Coordinate Project Move program – pickups, deliveries, inventory
  • Responsible for maintenance of box trucks.
  • Valid driver’s license required.
  • Must be physically able to safely lift/move heavy furniture (up to 75 lbs)
  • Create/edit various documents including invoices, communications, letters, logs, inventory, forms, handbooks and any other documents needed in various programs
  • Provides assistance and requested information to guests.
  • Assist Meal Program/Day Center/Clothing Shop/Reception as needed.
  • Support all areas of Hope Center as needed.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:  This position has Project Move volunteers reporting to it.

CONTACTS WITH OTHERS:  This position has contact with other employees, volunteers, other agencies, the public, government, and clients who come in for assistance.

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.  The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill and/or ability required. Must be able to safely lift heavy objects.

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:  This position requires a high school diploma or equivalent and at least two years of office management experience in order to efficiently keep the office running. Proficiency with software including Microsoft Office including Access, Excel and Word is necessary to adequately perform the essential duties.

LANGUAGE SKILLS:  This position needs the verbal skills to communicate with a wide variety of people.  Bilingual skills in English and Spanish are desirable, but not required.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS:  General high school math skills are required.

REASONING ABILITY:  This position requires the ability to think through decisions; cause and effect of the actions and the ability to do all of that in a fast-paced environment.

EQUIPMENT REQUIRED:  This position requires a person to operate the computer, copier, switchboard/phone, and printer.  A basic degree of proficiency with software including Microsoft Office including Access, MS Excel and Word is necessary to adequately perform the essential duties.

CERTIFICATES OR LICENSES REQUIRED: This position requires a valid Wisconsin Driver’s License.

PHYSICAL ACTIVITIES REQUIRED during the normal workday. This position requires a person to be able to lift up to 75 lbs  during the day when loading or unloading trucks.
