Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and organized Donations & Delivery Coordinator to oversee donation pickups, small warehouse operations, and delivery logistics for our community based Project Move Program.
As a Project Move – Donations & Delivery Coordinator, you’ll make a direct and lasting impact on the lives of individuals and families in need. By coordinating furniture donations and deliveries, you help transform empty spaces into homes filled with comfort and dignity. This role bridges the gap between generous donors and clients receiving essential services, ensuring that every interaction reflects Hope Center’s mission of compassion and community support.
You will report to the General Manager and work closely with volunteers, donors, and clients to keep Project Move running smoothly.
Duties
- Coordinate donation pickups and deliveries, ensuring all items are transported safely and efficiently within Waukesha County
- Load and unload donations using equipment such as hand trucks, utility carts or manual lifting techniques
- Operate box trucks or similar commercial vehicles for route driving and deliveries
- Manage route planning to optimize delivery schedules and ensure timely service
- Provide exceptional customer service during pickups and deliveries, addressing any concerns professionally
- Maintain accurate records of donations received and delivered
- Assist with warehouse organization, including loading/unloading inventory and managing storage areas
- Ensure compliance with safety protocols during all moving and driving activities
- Perform routine vehicle inspections and report maintenance needs to ensure safe operation
Requirements
- High School Diploma or Equivalent
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record; experience operating box trucks strongly preferred
- Proven experience in customer service, inventory tracking, or delivery driving
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently during moving activities
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple routes and tasks simultaneously
- Excellent communication skills for coordinating with team members, clients, and stakeholders
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while maintaining attention to detail
- Prior experience working in a relevant human service field preferred
- Must be reliable, punctual, and committed to providing excellent service throughout each shift
