Position Summary
HAWS is seeking a passionate and community-minded Community Engagement & Corporate Giving Coordinator to lead and support fundraising events, engage corporate partners, and enhance donor and volunteer experiences. This role is key to growing HAWS’ impact in the community through strategic relationships, events, and outreach programs.

Key Responsibilities
- Plan and manage logistics for HAWS’ largest annual fundraiser in collaboration with the Marketing & Philanthropy Director—including event coordination, auction planning, and donor engagement support.
- Assist in organizing special donor appreciation and recognition events.
- Cultivate community relationships to promote volunteer opportunities and drive corporate, business, and public support for HAWS.
- Communicate directly with donors and corporate partners as requested; provide regular updates and recognition.
- Build and maintain meaningful, long-term partnerships with corporations to support organizational growth, outreach, and program development.
- Serve as the primary contact for corporate volunteer groups—manage schedules, logistics, and interdepartmental coordination to ensure impactful experiences.
- Lead HAWS’ workplace giving initiatives and support annual fundraising strategies, with a focus on corporate and community involvement.
- Represent HAWS in the community by providing professional, courteous service to donors, volunteers, the public, and media representatives.
- Track and document activities using donor and event databases to evaluate engagement and campaign success.
- Oversee the HAWS Emerging Leaders Group, facilitating volunteer activities and donor engagement through networking and outreach events.
- Collaborate with staff across all departments to ensure seamless operations and aligned goals.
- Other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications
- Associate degree in marketing, communications, business, or related field required; Bachelor’s degree preferred.
- Minimum of 1 year of fundraising or donor development experience.
- Must be at least 21 years old with a valid driver’s license and insurable driving record.
- Prior experience working in an animal welfare, veterinary, or shelter environment is a plus.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills—both written and verbal.
- Ability to work independently, problem-solve, and think strategically.
- Comfortable working in high-pressure and noisy environments.
- High level of professionalism, confidentiality, and reliability.
- Strong computer proficiency, including Microsoft Office. Experience with or willingness to learn donor databases and shelter software.
- Capable of managing multiple projects and interpreting data for strategic planning.
- Must be physically able to lift supplies, assist with animal handling, and remain on feet for extended periods.
- Experience working with cats, dogs, and other domestic animals preferred.
- Ability to pass a criminal background check.
- Must carry personal vehicle insurance.
