IMPACT, a non-profit organization, currently has a career opportunity for a Access Point Intake Specialist – Bilingual (FFS)

We assess and guide those experiencing personal crisis toward resources to achieve stability; and collaborate with community partners to foster system improvement.

Core Functions:

  1. Comprehensive Alcohol and Other Drug Abuse (AODA) and mental health screening of clients for eligibility and appropriateness for Milwaukee County along with Milwaukee County funded ancillary services.
  2. Timely and professional communication with referral sources and Milwaukee County
  3. Accurate and complete documentation into required systems.
  4. Conduct mobile screens when necessary. Set up initial appointment for mobile screens. Maintain contact with referral sources.
  5. Assist client with other social service needs – housing/shelter, mental health care, and medical care.
  6. Monthly case review and closing of vouchers.
  7. Ensures that IMPACT is compliant with applicable federal, state, and local laws ensuring client confidentiality.
  8. Maintain continuing education hours for the Wisconsin Department of Regulation.

The perfect Candidate will possess the following skills and qualifications:

  • 1 years’ experience working as AODA experience required.
  •  SAC preferred.
  • Ability to learn and use computer software to maintain IMPACT Alcohol and Drug Abuse Services.
  • Experience working within systems and collaborating across agencies.
  • A good team player with the ability to complete work independently with broadly defined work objectives and limited oversight.
  • Self-starter with ability to work varying work schedules and remotely
  • Highly organized, detail focused with the ability to adapt to shift priorities.
  • Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills with a confident, concise, clear and compelling style.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office.
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish)
  • Valid Wisconsin Driver’s License required and car insurance

Pay and Benefits:

  • Hourly rate $35.00 per assessment
  • Will work from office
  • Flexible schedule – You can create your own schedule
  • Fee for service
