Resident Manager, short-term housing for women in crisis

Open Positions: Resident Managers – West Haven

• Part-time Day/Pm (2),
• Part-time and full-time Night shift

Pay: Range $17-$21 per hour with night shift and weekend differentials

Resident Managers will assist in the day to day activities of the individuals and are encouraged to engage with residents by offering group and individual activities that will promote independence and success in long-term housing.

Duties include:

• Communicate residence rules to clients and enforce rules as necessary
• Respond to questions and concerns from residents, staff, and community partners
• Follow all agency and mandated guidelines related to security, safety, and confidentiality
• Monitor activities of daily living including, resident chores, laundry assistance and late returns
  • Ensure that the basement door is secured after usage.
• Responsible for security check of all guests to ensure safety in the building
• Ensure that doors are locked at all times, this includes keyed doors and exterior doors.
• Ensure that the perimeter of the building is free of trash. (Gloves and trash pickers will be provided)
• May on occasions assist with intakes and discharge
• Unit checks should be conducted daily
• Residents are encouraged to clean their own units. Residents may require guidance with certain task.
• Ensure that staff office remains clean and orderly, this includes emptying trash, cleaning bathrooms and surfaces.
• When residents are exiting the program, please feel to assist with packing if they request assistance.
• Model respectful conduct and interactions with guests, visitors, and colleagues
• Prepare rooms in between guests. May include cleaning, packing, and sanitizing.
• Perform other duties as assigned by Community Intervention Specialist and Manager of Residential Services.
• Document daily interactions with residents for performance measure requirements

Resident Managers

• Must possess a high school diploma or G.E.D certification and
• two (2) years of experience working in human services, preferably with female clients who have experienced homelessness and trauma.
