The Recovery Court Case Manager fulfills an important role in the Clark County Recovery Court. The Recovery Court Case Manager provides direct services to participants of the Recovery Court Program. This includes assisting participants in navigating the criminal justice system and local treatment providers, holding the participants accountable utilizing behavioral-change tools, and assisting them to reduce their likelihood of recidivism. This position requires an understanding of the National and Wisconsin Treatment Court Standards, Evidence Based Practices, and substance abuse disorder.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide ongoing assessment, treatment planning, case management, and crisis intervention
  • Attend weekly Recovery Court staffing and hearings (Wednesdays)
  • Monitor participant compliance with the program
  • Work closely with Probation and/or Parole to not duplicate services
  • Create weekly staffing reports with updates for the recovery court team
  • Administer drug screens following established collection and chain of custody protocol
  • Enter and maintain case, court, and client information in an electronic database
  • Update state data system with client admissions, program information, and discharges
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications & Competencies:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice, Social Work, Psychology, or related human services field.
  • Previous experience working with criminal justice involved clients preferred
  • Knowledge of resources available in the community
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office (including Outlook, Word, and Excel)
  • Ability to communicate professionally & accurately, both orally and written
  • Organized, attentive to detail, and the ability to work independently
  • Demonstrated ability to work well with individuals from diverse economic, racial, and ethnic backgrounds
  • Pass a pre-employment background check
  • Valid driver’s license and automobile with insurance required
