The Program Director is responsible for managing and operating the State of Wisconsin Supervised Release Case Management Program for Southeastern Wisconsin. The mission of the Supervised Release Program is to assist consumers committed under Wisconsin Statute Chapter 980 to independent community living. This individual is responsible for supervising and directing staff in the provision of court and consumer services, ensuring program activities and services are documented, and fulfilling contractual obligations. The Program Director will work both independently and in unison with the administration team in recruiting, hiring, training, and ensuring the program and staff meet established performance outcomes. This program serves a population of consumers who are economically, racially, and ethnically diverse; cultural competence is an integral characteristic of the ideal candidate for this position.
The Program Director will provide oversite of recruitment, hiring, coaching, and training program staff; maintain and update internal training policy, procedure, and manuals; ensure reports and program and quality assurance policies are strictly adhered to; review all completed forms and documents to operate and track outcomes and services; provide ongoing review and quality assurance for case management services, documentation, and reports; manage financial aspects of the program including tracking, managing, and requesting payment for all client services; complete and provide reports to the funding sources as required by the contract.
Competencies:
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office (including Outlook, Word, and Excel)
- Ability to communicate professionally & accurately, both orally and written
- Organized, attentive to detail, ability to multi-task, work independently
- Demonstrate ability to work well with individuals from diverse economic, racial, and ethnic backgrounds and LGBTQIA+ identities
- Working knowledge of community resources relevant to the needs of the client which include sex offender treatment, mental health treatment, housing, vocational, employment, and health services
Requirements:
- Master’s Degree in Criminal Justice, Social Work, Behavioral Sciences, or related field, or a bachelor’s degree in one of these fields and equivalent managerial experience in criminal justice or human services
- Five years of experience in community forensic or similar services
- Valid driver’s license and automobile with insurance
- Pass a pre-employment Wisconsin Caregiver Background check
- Ability to work from home and travel up to 40% of the workweek within the region and sometimes to Sand Ridge Secure Treatment Facility
