Team Up! With Families is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization. Katy’s Kloset, a service of Team Up! With Families, is an equipment lending library that loans out and accepts donations of good, used, and durable medical equipment and medical supplies for children and adults.

Our Mission:  Our volunteer driven organization provides unique family centered activities that are physically inclusive and fun. Our equipment lending library -Katy’s Kloset -accepts and distributes donated durable medical equipment and supplies to adults and children at no or low cost.

POSITION:  Operations/warehouse Team Leader – Katy’s Kloset

We are excited to offer a new position reporting to the Executive Director of Team Up! With Families.

It is important for the selected candidate to embrace our mission.  The Warehouse/Operations Team Leader will manage daily warehouse operations for Katy’s Kloset, coordinate and lead our valued volunteers, and maximize our donor and recipient experiences through caring customer service.  Other responsibilities include back-up and support for volunteers as well as recruiting, interviewing, and training.

Under the direction of the Executive Director (ED):


Provide day-to-day management of the warehouse environment, including supervising volunteers and fulfilment/receiving systems for Katy’s Kloset.

  • Warehouse stocking and organization
    • Maintains on-line catalog of available equipment and supplies.
    • Utilizes inventory software, Easy Rent Out, to support warehouse operations.
    • Maintains safe and organized warehouse environment.
    • Supervises volunteers to restock, take inventory.
    • Supervises repair area; assuring safe environment.
  • Equipment/supply donations and returns
    • Oversees donation and return process, including receiving, sorting and cleaning.
    • Secures community partnerships to distribute surplus donated equipment and supplies.
  • Order fulfillment
    • Supervises volunteers to print and organize orders, “pick” and stage orders, and distribute items ordered.
    • Leads fulfillment process. Addresses issues, including offering excellent customer service if problems/complaints arise.
  • Volunteers coordination — Supervise all volunteers involved with warehouse activities, Includes training, scheduling and communications.
    • Capable of performing all volunteer roles and provides back-up for each role as needed.
    • Utilize computer platform, Volgistics, to onboard, orientate/train, schedule and manage volunteers serving at Katy’s Kloset in the order fulfilment roles.
  • Customer Service – Provide outstanding customer service by leading and motivating our team of volunteers and personally managing complex calls and difficult situations.
    • Take ownership of issues and follow problems through to resolution.
  • Process Improvement — Encourage a culture of process improvement utilizing data, best practices, and feedback from customers and volunteers.
  • Attends operational and other work committees as requested.

Operational Reporting:

  • Provide regular metrics and reports to the Executive Director as requested related to Katy’s Kloset operations.

Other Duties as assigned by the Executive Director:

  • Assist Executive Director with Team Up! With Families fund raising activities.
  • Professionally represent Team Up! and Katy’s Kloset to the public and donors and potential funders.
  • Other related tasks

Job requirements

  • Strong written and oral communication skills; excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office productivity tools such as Excel and Word.
  • Ability to work effectively independently, as well as in collaboration with diverse groups of people.
  • Passion, integrity, positive attitude, mission-driven, self-directed, and willingness to learn
  • Experience with office technology a plus. (Supporting WIFI, workstations, printers, installation of new devices and software.)


  • College degree an asset.
  • At least 3 years strong customer service experience.
  • Warehouse/working with inventory management experience a plus.
  • Experience with use and support of business operational software platforms.
  • Previous experience supervising volunteers or employees a plus.

Salary 30 hours a week. 

  • Some remote work possible, but most work hours will be on site at the warehouse.
  • Weekly schedule can vary, and is flexible, but frequent Saturday morning work is required. (2 x month as a minimum.)


  • Warehouse and office environment, with occasional lifting up to 45lbs, carrying, pushing, reaching, squatting, standing/walking on concrete floor. Some outdoors work required in all weather.
  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit or stand; use hands to handle or touch; talk and hear.
