Join our team in 2025! KIDS MATTER INC. is accepting applications for a Development and Marketing Coordinator to inspire donors, broadcast youth voices and create lasting community connections. RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:
Development
- Provide leadership and guidance to achieve annual fundraising goals through effective planning, communication and implementation
- Plan, execute, and evaluate fundraising activities for public or private sector activities/outreach
- Develop systems for growing relationships with existing donors and creating new relationships
- Set and meet targets for diversification of funding — including grants, individual and corporate giving, civic and faith outreach and major/planned gifts
- Create innovative ways to show donors the impact of their gift and show our appreciation
- Support the Executive Director in fundraising activities, including identifying strategies for cultivation, solicitation and stewardship efforts
- Lead all aspects (logistics, personnel, sponsors and timelines) for one major event per year
- Maintain accurate and timely communication and records
Marketing
- Create and track public messaging projects from conception through execution
- Oversee the regular publication of a bi-monthly e-newsletter using Constant Contact
- Monitor social media engagement, manage Google Ads, and measure and report on website performance
QUALIFICATIONS:
- College degree preferred and at least 2-3 years in a professional development role
- Ability to write with emotion and produce powerful stories in a variety of forms for diverse audiences
- Strong interpersonal and proactive communication skills
- Industry experience in advocacy, volunteerism, child welfare, law, or a therapeutic setting will be helpful
- Up-to-date COVID-19 vaccination is required
