Primary Responsibility: The Associate Director of Partnership Development works closely with the Director of Partnership Development, Principal, volunteers and staff to provide leadership for KP’s Partnership Development program to build a strong culture of philanthropy in the school and among KP stakeholders.

The Associate Director of Development is co-responsible for the development and implementation of KP’s annual giving program, including direct solicitation of individual, corporate, and foundation gifts as well as related cultivation and stewardship activities. This position reports directly to the Director of Partnership Development and collaborates closely on cultivation and solicitation of major capital gifts.

Essential Duties: 

Attaining Budgeted Philanthropic Revenue:

  • Develops and executes innovative fundraising strategies to advance KP’s annual giving strategy and expand and diversify the donor pool with emphasis on support for scholarship, innovation, and facilities enhancement.
  • Actively manages a portfolio of corporate, foundation, and individual donors and prospects. 

Strategic Leadership and Oversight:

  • Collaborates closely with the Partnership Development team to set strategy and implementation to ensure smooth integration of Kingdom Prep’s capital, major giving, annual giving, annual gala, corporate and foundation giving, and planned giving programs.
  • Collaborates with the Director of Wolfpack Futures to build a strong and well-defined engagement plan for alumni, alumni affiliates, and friends of KP alumni. Integrates alumni prospects into annual giving and major gifts strategies.

Cultivating and Soliciting Major Donor and Foundation Gifts/Grants

  • Helps donors accomplish their philanthropic goals and objectives through a relationship with Kingdom Prep.
  • Identifies qualifies, cultivates, and solicits funding from individuals, corporations, and foundations in accordance with annual Development goals and funding priorities.
  • Grant writing to area Foundations as needed on an annual basis.
  • Develops content for direct mail and other fundraising communications to advance fundraising and improve the school’s overall visibility and identity with donors 

Administrative Duties Related to Partnership Development

  • Assists in managing daily use of KP’s Donor Management System: Little Green Light.
  • Produces monthly, quarterly, and annual reports on annual giving and donor
  • Maintains close and highly collaborative relationships within the Partnership Development team, KP leadership, faculty, board, parents, and other constituencies.
  • Identifies, cultivates, recruits, and develops fundraising volunteers and

Qualifications: 5 years of professional fundraising experience (or equivalent), preferably, but not limited to, work in development at an independent school or in higher education

  • A strong sense of calling and commitment to the ministry and mission of Kingdom Prep.
  • At least 5 years of experience in fund development and gifts solicitation (or equivalent).
  • Highly skilled in cultivating interpersonal relationships.
  • Bachelor’s degree preferable.
  • Knowledgeable in annual giving, major gifts, special events, corporate and foundation giving, and cultivating donor relationships.
  • Superior written and verbal communication skills
  • Demonstrated commitment to excellence, detail, and ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects simultaneously in a dynamic environment.
  • Proficiency in Google Tools and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Experience with CRM and/or Donor Management Software.
  • Positive attitude, relationship-building skills, a high-level of self-motivation, and a strong, work ethic.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Willingness to travel and work occasional evenings as necessary.
