Position Summary:

Under the direction of the Lead Accountability Coach, the Accountability Coach is responsible for meeting with each student regularly to coach, discuss, and document the student’s progress in the program. The Accountability Coach will manage a caseload of 10-15 students. The weekly class is held at the designated site. The coach can meet with each student individually, virtually, or in person for coaching sessions. In-person meetings must occur at a Lead2Change-approved location. This position requires coaches to attend team meetings and events such as the Commitment and Completion Ceremonies.

Job Responsibilities:

  • CLASSES AND SPECIAL EVENTS: Attend weekly Dream.Explore.Build. classes with students and attend special events (e.g., Boot Camps, Internship Interviews, etc.). Track student attendance, assist in classroom management and student engagement, create individualized learning opportunities, and make connections between class and coaching sessions.
  • COACHING SESSIONS: Meet with each student in caseload monthly for 30 minutes. Prepare individualized coaching session agendas, build and maintain support relationships, and document coaching sessions.
  • CASE MANAGEMENT: Collaborate with the student, the student’s instructor, family, and the school to ensure the student completes the program successfully.
  • DOCUMENTATION: Track student progress in the program by keeping detailed, up-to-date case notes and reporting to the Lead Accountability Coach.
  • ADMINISTRATION: Participate in Lead2Change team meetings, supervision meetings, cohort meetings, and Problem of Practice sessions.

Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • One or more years of experience working with youth.

  • Skilled at identifying and resolving conflicts constructively and fairly.
  • Ability to communicate and foster effective relationships with students and staff of diverse cultural, social, educational, and financial backgrounds.
  • Proficient with email and text applications.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office suite applications, including Word, Excel, and Outlook.

Work Hours:

  • 15 – 20 hours per week, including evenings and weekends.

Class Scheduling & Location

  • Mondays, 5:00 p.m. – 7:30 p.m., Location: Bader Rutter
  • Tuesdays, 5:00 p.m. – 7:30 p.m., Location: James O. Wright Training Center
  •  Saturdays, 9:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m., Location: Zilber College of Public Health, UWM
  • Mondays & Wednesdays, 1:56 p.m. – 3:20 p.m., Location: GreenTree Preparatory Academy

Compensation:

  • This is a non-exempt position with an hourly rate of $20.00
