Job Description:

The Outpatient Clinical Therapist position is responsible for ongoing engagement, assessment, and service planning with their clients to meet their mental health and AODA recovery needs. The Outpatient Clinical Therapist works with an interdisciplinary team to support the client’s mental health, and AODA goals as they move towards improved wellness, and meaningful connections. The Outpatient Clinical Therapist will work in partnership with the Clinic Manager for continued program enhancement.

This is a full-time position that requires an LPC or LCSW. Applicants bilingual in Spanish and English strongly encouraged to apply.

Core Job Functions

  • Maintain at least 30 billable hours per week (60% of the time).
  • 10 hours provided weekly for collateral contact, external and internal meetings, and care coordination
  • Provide assessment/intake, evaluation of client needs, and treatment planning
  • Oversee and ensure the maintenance of your client records and progress notes
  • Facilitate groups including AODA and other education groups for clients
  • Attend weekly supervision and case consultation with the clinical supervisor (s) and other weekly meetings as assigned

Additional Duties

  • Responsible for submitting documentation for billing of all outpatient and group sessions within 48 hours of service
  • Attend client meetings as necessary
  • Provide support to 1-2 interns per semester and evaluation paperwork
  • Coordinate between other MHA agency programs (Info & Referral, Outreach, Suicide Prevention) as appropriate
  • All other duties as assigned

Keys to Success

  • Knowledge and understanding of co-occurring disorders, the SAMHSA recovery philosophy, and individual client advocacy
  • Be a self-starter with excellent organizational and follow-through skills
  • Ability to assist with developing program areas as needed

Salary Range

Licensed 1-5years
$26.00/hr. – $55,000

Licensed 5+ years
$31.25 /hr. – $65,000
