Title: Manager of Residential Clinical Services

Job Type: Full-Time – 40 hours/week, Exempt

Location: 2625 N Weil St. – Milwaukee, WI

Reports to: Chief Clinical Services Officer

Department: Residential

Schedule: Monday – Friday, 8:00 a.m. – 4:30 p.m.(subject to change based on program/departmental needs); on-call back-up

General Purpose 

Responsible for the quality and delivery of clinical services provided to clients in Meta House’s residential substance use disorder (SUD) program. Leads the clinical supervisor team and some direct services staff. Ensures program strategy, goals, outcomes, and outputs are achieved.  Assures quality of care and safety as well as compliance with funders, grantors, and regulatory requirements. Sets the tone for collaboration and teamwork. Ensures financial sustainability and programmatic growth.

Essential Functions of the Job: 

  • Provide leadership, consultation, problem-resolution, crisis management, direction, and oversight to residential clinical staff and services.  Guide all programming and interventions with safety, best-practices, and regulatory compliance as priority.
  • Set goals for the residential team and ensure all program development and implementation aligns with the overall Meta House strategic plan.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations including DHS 75 related to care, safety, documentation, reporting, and supervision/licensing. Coordinate responsiveness to site visits from regulatory and contractual compliance auditors and ensure implementation of plans of correction and process improvements.
  • Collaborate with program leadership to ensure safety and quality of services and transitions within and between levels of care.
  • Establish and maintain appropriate bed capacity, clinical productivity, client service hours, and clinical workflows that meet the therapeutic needs of clients.
  • Attend and/or facilitate regular internal staff and leadership meetings.  Attend external meetings, committees, and conferences to promote Meta House, collaborate with agency partners, and seek opportunities for collaboration and innovation.
  • Oversee the audit of all clinical documentation, including client treatment plans, progress notes, and intake documentation to ensure timeliness and compliance with documentation and care standards and best practices.
  • In conjunction with Human Resources and residential program leaders, drive the hiring, onboarding, training, coaching, competency development, delegating, and retention initiatives of the program.
  • Act as liaison to grantors, referrers, and funders and champion Meta House to donors and the community. Present to and consult with community partners as requested.
  • Provide input into and oversight of departmental budgets.
  • Provide back-up consultation to on-call therapist team.  Cover occasional groups and maintain small caseload as needed to fill gaps and ensure continuity of care.
  • Other duties as periodically or permanently assigned. 

Qualifications

Minimum Requirements:

  • Required Education
    • Master’s degree in counseling, social work, or related field from an accredited university.
  • Required Work Experience
    • One (1) to four (4) years
    • Leadership experience
    • Clinical supervisory experience in substance use and/or mental health disorder treatment
    • Clinical experience in co-occurring disorders
  • Required License/Certification:
    • LCSW or LPC, active license by the State of Wisconsin
    • Substance use Disorder Counseling certification (or scope of practice under Act 262) and certification or qualifications to provide clinical supervision.
    • Driver’s license, safe driving record, and proof of vehicle insurance
  • Preferred Education:
    • In addition to Master’s degree, secondary certifications or minors in Trauma Informed Care, Leadership/business, infant mental health, or other specializations encouraged.
  • Preferred Work Experience
    • Five (5) or more years

Working Conditions and Physical Requirements: 

  • Able to walk indoors and outdoors between buildings
  • Able to navigate stairs frequently
  • Able to sit or stand for prolonged periods of time
  • Bend, stoop, twist, squat, and kneel
  • Travel between facilities (driver’s license required)
  • Able to hear and speak with clients
  • Able to read and document in client charts
  • Able to lift 20 pounds on a regular basis
  • Able to visually identify clients and others for reasons including, but not limited to: security and presence in building
  • Tolerate a variety of temperature ranges
  • Adhere to non-smoking work environment policies and vaccination requirement
