Schedule: Monday – Friday, 8:00 a.m. – 4:30 p.m.(subject to change based on program needs); on-call rotation

General Purpose
Therapists are responsible for the assessment, education, and treatment of clients experiencing substance use and possible mental health disorders as well as program support. Group and individual settings.
Essential Functions of the Job:
- Work closely with direct supervisor to ensure coverage of all services, including co-facilitation of group curriculum and therapy sessions as assigned and coverage for colleagues’ PTO time
- Assist with on-site crisis intervention
- When approved and needed, serve as the primary therapist
- Complete intakes, develop a treatment plan for clients including explaining assessment results, identifying client needs in written plan, and formulating immediate and long-term goals. Utilize Motivational Interviewing skills when working with clients.
- Provide direct and coordinated services to chemically dependent women and their children, utilizing internal program modalities and external linkages when required
- Conduct one-on-one and group therapy sessions
- Provide SUD/MH education to clients
- Attend and/or organize monthly team meetings for assigned clients
- Assure authorization and continued re-authorization for caseload as may be necessary through insurance and other resources.
- Assist with the coordination of services that support the treatment program and/or clients.
- Perform all required record keeping and paperwork related to treatment and work at Meta House.
- After 6 months of employment: On-call duties after hours and weekends, duration one week, several times per year
Marginal Functions of the Job:
- Other duties as periodically or permanently assigned
- Participate in agency-wide policy/procedure or service committees as assigned
- Participate in community resource meetings as assigned
Qualifications and Requirements:
- CSAC or SAC or equivalent scope & competency per Act 262
- LPC-IT or LPC; APSW or LCSW
- At least on full license (LCSW, LPC, SAC or CSAC)
- Master’s degree in Social Work, Counseling or related field
Other Skills Required:
- Driver’s license, safe driving record, and proof of vehicle insurance
- Able to work cooperatively with other team members and agencies
- Organizational and planning skills
- Able to work in a multi-cultural setting
- Able to integrate mental health treatment into SUD treatment
- Able to understand and navigate insurance systems
- Computer skills including proficiency in Word, Excel, and other applications
Working Conditions and Physical Requirements:
- Able to walk indoors and outdoors between buildings
- Able to navigate stairs frequently
- Able to sit or stand for prolonged periods of time
- Able to hear and speak with clients
- Able to read and document in client charts
- Able to lift 20 pounds on a regular basis
- Able to visually identify clients and others for reasons including, but not limited to: security and presence in building
