Job Description

The Milwaukee Careers Cooperative (MCC) is seeking a highly motivated, enthusiastic and experienced individual to join our team as the Executive Director. In this position, you will play a crucial role in leading and managing our organization to fulfill its mission and strategic objectives. Our philosophy is to create and maintain a human resources program that supports the ongoing fulfillment of the stated mission of the cooperative You will have the opportunity to drive growth, foster innovation, and make a positive impact in the community.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement strategic plans to achieve organizational goals and objectives
  • Provide leadership and guidance to staff, ensuring high performance and engagement
  • Oversee and manage the organization’s budget and financial operations
  • Establish and maintain positive relationships with stakeholders, including donors, partners, and government agencies
  • Lead fund development efforts and diversify funding sources to support the organization’s sustainability
  • Ensure compliance with relevant laws, regulations, and ethical standards
  • Develop and implement effective marketing and communication strategies to enhance the organization’s visibility and reach
  • Direct new projects in employment and transportation
  • Effectively work with Board of Directors to fulfill the mission

Requirements

  • Proven experience in a senior management role, preferably in the non-profit sector
  • Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate a diverse team
  • Excellent strategic planning and problem-solving abilities
  • Solid understanding of financial management and budgeting
  • Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills
  • Demonstrated experience in fundraising and donor engagement
  • Knowledge of relevant laws, regulations, and ethical standards in the non-profit sector
  • 4 year College Degree
