Job Description
The Milwaukee Careers Cooperative (MCC) is seeking a highly motivated, enthusiastic and experienced individual to join our team as the Executive Director. In this position, you will play a crucial role in leading and managing our organization to fulfill its mission and strategic objectives. Our philosophy is to create and maintain a human resources program that supports the ongoing fulfillment of the stated mission of the cooperative You will have the opportunity to drive growth, foster innovation, and make a positive impact in the community.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement strategic plans to achieve organizational goals and objectives
- Provide leadership and guidance to staff, ensuring high performance and engagement
- Oversee and manage the organization’s budget and financial operations
- Establish and maintain positive relationships with stakeholders, including donors, partners, and government agencies
- Lead fund development efforts and diversify funding sources to support the organization’s sustainability
- Ensure compliance with relevant laws, regulations, and ethical standards
- Develop and implement effective marketing and communication strategies to enhance the organization’s visibility and reach
- Direct new projects in employment and transportation
- Effectively work with Board of Directors to fulfill the mission
Requirements
- Proven experience in a senior management role, preferably in the non-profit sector
- Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate a diverse team
- Excellent strategic planning and problem-solving abilities
- Solid understanding of financial management and budgeting
- Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills
- Demonstrated experience in fundraising and donor engagement
- Knowledge of relevant laws, regulations, and ethical standards in the non-profit sector
- 4 year College Degree
