DISTRIBUTION CENTER SUPERVISOR
The Milwaukee Rescue Mission (MRM) is seeking a full-time Distribution Center Supervisor to oversee the daily operations of the Distribution Center and Clothing Rooms. This position is responsible for managing the Distribution Center and Clothing Room staff, including occasional volunteers. The Supervisor also utilizes data base systems to effectively manage inventory and distribution to programs of in-kind donations. In addition to ensuring adequate distribution to support all MRM programs and community, the supervisor also manages the textile procedures and scheduling.
WORK SCHEDULE: Full-time, Monday-Friday, 10:00am-6:00pm
LOCATION: Central Campus, 830 N 19th Street, Milwaukee, WI. 53233
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Supervise, oversee and manage receipt of all in-kind donations (clothing, household and personal care items, seasonal supplies, etc.)
- Understand and apply warehouse and inventory control procedures in accordance with MRM policy
- Manage the receipting, processing, sorting, transporting and distribution of in-kind donations to MRM programs
- Supervise staff by establishing clear expectations and demonstrating high standards of work practices and safety conscious behavior
- Responsible for developing schedules and the administration of time and attendance for direct reports
- Motivate and train staff to provide excellent customer service
- Communicate and collaborate with all departments in a positive manner to understand needs and report on inventory levels
- Manage textile process to include procedures and scheduling
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor’s Degree preferred
- 3-5 years of experience in a supervisory role strongly preferred
- “In-kind” donation experience preferred
- Valid driver’s license and a good driving record required
- Excellent leadership, interpersonal, communication (written & verbal), motivational and decision making skills
- Detail orientated with excellent organization and follow through skills
- Ability to effectively manage time and meet all specified deadlines
- Self-motivated, energetic, reliable and enthusiastic. Must enjoy working with people with diverse backgrounds
- Committed to a safe, secure work environment
- Work well under pressure and manage stress effectively in a demanding and fast-paced environment
- Competent in the use of a computer, specifically MS Office Suite
- Have a genuine concern for the salvation and spiritual welfare for all those encountered though the ministry of MRM, seeking to model and share the hope of the gospel within the established responsibilities of this position.
