Who We Are: Since 1956, The Milwaukee Youth Symphony Orchestra (MYSO) has been nurturing, challenging and inspiring young minds through music. MYS0 is the largest and one of the most successful and respected after school youth orchestra programs in the nation. We serve more than 6000 young people ages 8-18, and MYSO is regularly recognized for its artistic excellence.
About the Role: We are looking for an Advancement Operations Coordinator to join our team. This position plays a vital role in maintaining the operational integrity of our fundraising and donor relations activities. The Advancement Operations Coordinator serves as the backbone of our Advancement team, ensuring accurate data management, efficient gift processing, and providing critical support for fundraising initiatives and events.
What it takes to be our Advancement Operations Coordinator: Successful candidates will have one or more years of office administration/support and/or data management, ideally within non-profit or performing arts sectors. This position is ideal for someone who:
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, fund development software (DonorPerfect preferred), databases and management information systems.
- Strong proficiency in Excel (including pivot tables and charts) is required. Experience with CRM reporting tools (DonorPerfect preferred) and basic familiarity with data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI, or Google Data Studio) a plus.
- Exceptional organizational acumen, meticulous attention to detail and a commitment to data accuracy
- Passionate about the mission, vision, values, and goals of MYSO and possess an understanding of how this position contributes to our organization’s success.
- Bring humility, sense of humor, and a deep commitment to philanthropy and empathy for those we serve.
- Strong research, data collection and analytics skills
- Proven multitasking abilities, with a track record of managing multiple projects simultaneously and autonomously.
- Commitment to confidentiality and ethical handling of donor information
This position requires the ability to travel as needed to attend events; and the ability to work evenings and weekends as needed.
Salary will be commensurate with experience and skills.
