Teen Educators & Teen Consultants

PATCH stands for Providers and Teens Communicating for Health. At PATCH we believe that health care practices, programs, and policies should be developed with young people rather than just for them. That’s why we work directly with young people, like you, to improve healthcare quality for teens and improve the overall health and wellbeing of your generation! We want to make sure teen voices are included in decisions that affect them.

We hire Teen Educators who work in-person in Milwaukee, Madison, La Crosse, Green Bay, and Wausau AND Teen Consultants who can work virtually from anywhere in the state (after an all-expenses paid in-person training in Madison).

In addition to getting paid to participate in PATCH’s 9-month enrichment curriculum, Teen Educators lead workshops for health care professionals and for other teens with the goal of improving the health care services youth receive. Teen Consultants participate in consulting sessions that help improve the quality of adolescent health related projects and programs.

As a PATCH Teen Educator or Teen Consultant, you will gain valuable leadership and advocacy experience, become more familiar with important health topics that impact teens, develop communication and presentation skills, and so much more! Being a part of PATCH is an impressive accomplishment to include on college applications and job resumes. You will also be paid for your time. You will receive $125 upon full completion of the 20-hour training and $12/hour for attending enrichment meetings and leading workshops or participating in consulting sessions. The total amount you will receive each month will vary based on the number of events you attend and hours you work (likely between $24-$120/month).
